How do I create an account?

Open Apex and tap "Sign Up." Enter your email address and choose a password. You'll be signed in automatically and can start adding tasks right away.

How do I add a task?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen to quick-add a task, or use the Brain Storm feature to capture multiple ideas in a rapid-fire session. New tasks land in your inbox for processing later.

What is Processing?

Processing lets you go through inbox tasks one at a time. For each task you set a due date, priority, and category — or delete it if it's no longer relevant. This keeps your task list intentional and organized.

How does the Focus Timer work?

Pick the tasks you want to work on today, then start the focus timer. It helps you concentrate on one task at a time. When the timer ends, you can mark the task complete or continue working.

What is Clean Up?

Clean Up is a periodic review of your tasks. Apex surfaces tasks that may be stale or overdue so you can reschedule, re-prioritize, or remove them. It keeps your list fresh and manageable.

How do Habits work?

You can create daily habits and track them from your home screen. Simply check them off each day to build consistency. Your weekly digest shows your habit streaks and completion rates.

Can I organize tasks into categories?

Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Manage Categories" to create, rename, or delete categories. You can assign a category to any task during processing or from the task details screen.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@apextasks.app and we will process your request promptly.

Troubleshooting

The app is not loading or feels slow

Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, check that your app is updated to the latest version.

I'm not receiving notifications

Go to your device's Settings, find Apex, and make sure notifications are enabled. Inside the app, check Settings > Notifications to confirm your preferences are set correctly.

I forgot my password

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a link to reset your password.
